Annual Marianopolis Arts Trip, Fall 2011
Destination: Boston and Cambridge
This year’s Arts Trip will take you to Boston early in the morning on Friday, November 11, returning to Marianopolis the evening of Sunday November 13. You’ll get three days full of arts-related activities and won’t even miss a day of classes, since the Friday is a school holiday. The itinerary features museum visits, architectural tours and lots of free time to explore on your own.
Among the scheduled activities, we’ll tour Copley Square and the Boston Public Library, the Museum of Fine Arts and the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Art), walk through the Back Bay Fens and along Boston’s harbour front. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the campuses of MIT and Harvard. An additional outing to see a performing arts event can be added to the schedule as an option—more news on that will be posted at the beginning of the fall semester.
In case you want even more arts and culture, there is a multitude of cultural and sightseeing options available to you during your free time. Just ask if you
need advice about things to do. On this site, you will find the trip itinerary and important information (including costs and regulations). Students on financial aid can apply for the Arts Trip Award that will cover the entire cost of registration.
Ready to join us? Please sign up online, then drop off the required
paper documents at the College.
Whether you have registered or are just considering it, please attend our information session on Thursday, September 1 at 12:45 p.m. in A-404, the art studio.
We look forward to traveling with you!
